Esquel unveils Integral’s garment operation

Integral, where Esquel demonstrates manufacturing and natural environment can co-exist at Guilin, Guangxi, has set another milestone by unveiling the garment production facility on March 27, 2019. An inauguration ceremony was jointly officiated by John Cheh, Vice Chairman and CEO and Edgar Tung, Managing Director of Global Operations at the site. It marked an important step towards the completion of the Industrial Eco-tourism Garden.

In his speech, John said the new garment production facility is not only extraordinary for its cutting-edge technology, but also showcasing Esquel's sustainability commitment by providing the workers with a more productive and quality working environment. He also expressed gratitude to the continuous support by Guilin Municipal and Xiangshan District government departments.

With the establishment of the new garment production facility, we aspire to set an example of finding a non-traditional, sustainable way in a traditional industry, and we believe Integral will set a new benchmark for industries in Guilin or even the whole country.

In a guided tour, the guests witnessed the debut production of a shirt coming out from the Integral production line. The garment production line will commence operation in late April, together with a new dining hall. They will add to the Specialty Spinning Mill, already commenced operation in September 2018, to form the core of the manufacturing complex. Other supporting infrastructures are expected to be completed in coming months.
