Esquel celebrates its Decade of Dialogs at Integral, Guilin
The 10th Integral Conversation, with the theme, “The Future of Sustainable Growth from an Asian Perspective”, was successfully held at Integral, Esquel’s Sustainable Development Garden in Guilin, from October 26 to 28. Discussions among visionary leaders and practitioners tapped into sustainable business model transformations, socio-economic progress acceleration, the future of work and sustainable fashion. Together, they explored how businesses, public sectors, institutions, academia, and individuals can co-create a greener future for all.
During the main conference, Teresa Yang, Vice Chairman of Esquel Group, gave the opening remarks, with an announcement of Integral’s another milestone – making significant progress in accomplishing all 17 UNSDGs. As a prelude to the main event, there was a fireside chat with Siddharth Chatterjee, UN Resident Coordinator in China, who highlighted Good Health and Well-being as the anchor of all UNSDGs.
Gabriel Leung, Executive Director of Charities and Community, the Hong Kong Jockey Club, in his keynote speech, believed that organizations should maximize their synergies and enhance each other's resilience facing ever-changing landscapes. Then, a series of dialogs followed, sparking insights on the importance of embedding sustainability into corporate visions, empowering and nurturing individuals to become critical thinkers in the future of work, as well as the synthesis between preserving cultural heritage and thriving with technological advancements in sustainable fashion. Experiential workshops and tours were also held, offering the guests a more immersive journey at Integral.
Celebrating a decade of dialogs committed to further diffusing sustainability and environmental stewardship to a wider community, Professor Hau Lee announced the official establishment of Integral Institute. Esquel, as one of the founding companies of the Institute, showed our net zero progress, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to the pledge made in 2021.
Esquel will continue to gather and share new grains of insights to accelerate sustainable growth in Asia and pursue the UNSDGs with our valued partners.
