Marjorie Yang becomes SIBAC’s first female Chairman

We are pleased to announce that our Chairman Marjorie Yang has been appointed as the first female chairman of the Seoul International Business Advisory Council (SIBAC).

In her acceptance speech, Yang stated her belief that empowerment of women is essential for sustainable development. She also expressed her excitement in working with esteemed professionals to help build Seoul as a world-class city.

During the half-day conference, Yang was invited to share her insights on the topic "Building the Hub for Promising Industries of the Future". Entitled "Fueling Innovative Growth with Urban Manufacturing", her presentation explored the platform and services that Seoul shall provide to groom the relevant mix of modern manufacturing talents and to develop the comprehensive platforms and ecosystems for the targeted industries.

The SIBAC was created in 2001 with the purpose of providing advice to the Mayor of Seoul.

Bringing together top-level international business leaders and experts across a wide range of industries, SIBAC meets once a year to discuss and deliberate over issues critical to the development of Seoul.
