Esquel Management Trainee Program
Our Management Trainee Program provides a path of accelerated leadership development. This structured fast-track opportunity extends across a range of functions, involving rotation through departments along our vertically integrated supply chain and throughout our global operations, including sales and merchandising, manufacturing operations and corporate functions.
Apart from departmental rotation, trainees will also be engaged in full-fledged development programs, including but not limited to cross-functional team projects, business etiquette, training workshops on business analytics, computational thinking, project management and leadership camps, among others. The program offers the opportunity to collaborate on exciting projects, not only with talented peers, but with top leaders in the field — most of whom began as Management Trainees themselves. These opportunities serve as a springboard for launching a successful career while building and establishing vital relationships.

The Management Trainee Program is designed for undergraduates and postgraduates who aspire to advance and excel.
The Program
The Management Trainee program is a fast-track leadership skill and experience development initiative designed to develop general managers and enterprise builders within Esquel.
Over 24 months, you will have opportunities to rotate through different parts of our business across diversified business groups, with regional exposure to broaden your market insight. You will work directly with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across the Group.
You will not be an observer. You will solve real problems, lead real projects, and contribute to decisions that shape how Esquel grows.
What You'll Do
- Work on high-impact projects across manufacturing, technology, and automation.
- Apply AI, data science, and advanced technologies to real operating and business challenges.
- Build cross-functional knowledge — from production floor to customer-facing retail.
- Engage with global customers, partners, and technologies.
- Support the development and execution of our transformation strategy.
- Develop the judgement, resilience, and leadership capacity to grow into a general management role.

Education
Undergraduates or postgraduates of any discipline, with less than 3 years of working experience.
Language & Mobility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Flexible and willing to take up future postings in Chinese Mainland and/or international locations.

Our recruitment process focuses on personal ability and merits, which means there is no target in recruitment for the program. Each intake varies depending on the quality of competition among applicants and our business needs.
Prior experience in the industry is not required. However, we expect management trainee applicants to be genuinely interested in the apparel manufacturing industry as well as the wide range of other related corporate functions. Although not expected, applicants should also have basic knowledge of the industry prior to application as part of their commitment.
Esquel welcome students from any discipline, as our management trainees are expected to take on a wide range of cross-functional responsibilities. The Management Trainee Program not only seeks applicants who subscribe to our company vision, but those who also have a strong analytical mindset, learning agility and leadership potential.

There are no official guidelines to prepare for these application steps. These are designed to test your all-round ability reflecting your general aptitude and perceptiveness. With that said, we advise applicants to keep on top of local and global current affairs to enrich themselves on a daily basis, and build on your knowledge and analytical skills.
We will devise custom rotation plans that take into account colleagues’ skills, interests, and the current needs/available projects of different departments.
